On Day 2 of the Shreemad Bhagavatam course, Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda starts the discourse with the death Bhishma in the presence of Lord Krishna. The latter half of the course is focused on King Parikshit, to whom the Shreemad Bhagavatam is narrated by Sage Sukadev. As discussed in the course, King Parikshit had become cursed by a Brahmin to die in seven days by snake-bite. It is through this curse that King Parikshit came to hear of the Shreemad Bhagavatam, so that he could be spiritually transformed and attain the final goal of life ̶ the Lotus Feet of the Lord. Day 2 concludes with the story of the Varaha Avatar and also the story of Lord Kapila’s birth.
